Welcome to another installation of Waterfall Wednesday and Hump Day Huts to get you through another working week. For today’s waterfall we are going to Victoria along the world renown Great Ocean Road. Located near Lorne the easily accessible Erskine Falls plummets 30 metres into the beautiful rainforest clad fern valley below. Being positioned near the start of the Great Ocean Road it is a popular stop along this well traversed tourist route and is only one of a number of impressive waterfalls found in this region.

For our Hump Day Hut we are moving north this time to the Queensland outback and a little known national park, Culgoa Floodplain on the NSW/Queensland Border north west of Lightning Ridge. This park was once a large former station and adjoins Culgoa National Park to the south in New South Wales. Redbank Hut is a reminder of the park’s pastoral heritage.

We hope you have enjoyed this weeks instalment of Waterfall Wednesday and Hump Day Huts and it has inspired you to start planning your next getaway to either a stunning waterfall or intriguing hut.
Happy and safe travels
